2017 Season – Starts June 8

The 2017 season starts June 8th. That is really close, in fact, it is just days away. DAYS! Time to start clearing out the fridge to make room. I’d also suggest getting some bags suitable for composting, there’s going to be a lot of chopping in your future – and you’ll need a place to put those scraps.

We have a lot of vendors this year, and in the not too distant future, we will be putting up a calendar for who will be at the Market on what days. As we have so many vendors, that there will be more every other week type of situations.

We also are trying something new this year. Salem, as many of you know, is filled with a lot of great companies that are involved with food. We wanted to make sure they got a little face time too – so this year, we have two table that will feature a storefront business. You’ll only see one of these businesses once a month. That list includes (but not limited to) Ken’s Kickin’ Chicken, Salem Spice, and a certain popcorn company down by the wharf.

And before you go off and look for videos about pugs signing hits from the 80’s, let me mention the folks that are new to the Summer Market. Say hello to: Beverly Bees, Eva’s Farm Butcher Shop, Somerville Bread Company, Pigeon Cove Ferments, Mia’s House of Sweets, Pour Man’s Coffee, Beckah’s Butters (you may remember them from the Winter Market), Jaju Pierogi, Lady Ghada, Hannah’s Herbals (also from the Winter Market), and these fine local establishments: Branch Olive Oil, Popped! Gourmet Popcorn, Pamplemousse, and Ken’s Kickin’ Chicken.

We can’t wait to see you all on the 8th!
